About

I am a thirty-something mommy with two beautiful daughters, Ad and C8, living in two worlds.  By day, I work full-time  as an employment recruiter/ staffing supervisor, with a 60-mile daily commute, living in a world governed by policies and professionalism.  And by night, I transform into a mother, living in a world where everything is governed by “Eenie-Meenie-Miney-Moe” and fun.   Like so many other moms, I wish I could stay at home with them, but certain situations require my working full-time.
I’m a twin, and the oldest (2nd oldest, right Candice?) of 8 siblings.   We were raised by a mother who did everything possible to be a stay-at-home mom.  We appreciated it, even though it meant sharing a mother with daycare kids, and helping stuff envelopes and throw newspapers as “side-jobs” to earn extra money.
I make up stories about “hair bugs” so my 3-year-old will allow me to comb through her thick hair.   I abhor the sight of bare feet, but can’t get enough of biting those of my babies’.   I always wanted to have girls with long hair to practice fancy up-dos, but now both would prefer their hair down.
I am enchanted with any tropical scene – absolutely love spending time on a beach, but would rather not be in the water for very long.  (Too many stories of maritime life maming, killing, or even brushing past human beings! eww…)
You can’t go wrong with any of the following: a good salsa beat, sore muscles after a good workout, or a big bowl of chocolate peanut butter ice cream.
I hate when pinks or yellows are washed with blues.  I’m overly obsessed with Spray N Wash, and if asked how I would spend an evening alone?  Watching a comedy while folding ALL my clean laundry (multi-tasking *wink*).  Biggest pet peeve is spotting spelling errors – especially on professionally published materials.  I’m passionate about the color purple, yet I shudder at the word “passionate”.
I secretly wish I could laugh.  Don’t get me wrong, I laugh. I’d just like it to be audible, instead of sounding like sucking wind, mild snorting, or trying to catch my breath.  I’d be pleased with even a cackle similar to that of Julia Roberts’.
I love dancing with my girls, reading with my girls, and playing with my girls.  My number one concern in life is their well-being and happiness, and I’m constantly thinking of ways to maximize my limited time I spend with them.  This is the main reason I’ve started this website.  And if someone else benefits from it in the meantime, even better!

I think this is the cutest thing! You are such a cute mom! How did you come up with this idea, and how do you have time for it all? One more question. How can you be so funny all of the time? Your humor shows right through, and I can almost hear your voice when I am reading it.
