I’ve been trying so hard to put (somewhat) healthy foods in this aging body of mine. However, once again, my sweet tooth took control, and convinced my mind to justify it – being the holiday and all…

And I do have to admit… I’m glad my mouth finally gave in!
Chocolate Ganache Brownies
Mix the following ingredients together until blended really well:
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter (softened)
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
Add the dry ingredients to the above mixture:
2/3 c flour
1/2 c baking cocoa
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (your preference of chocolate)
Once mixed together, spread into a greased 8×8 pan. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes (or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.) Remove from oven and cool.
Once cool, cut with your favorite cookie cutter (I used hearts for Valentine’s Day) and spread with chocolate ganache.
Chocolate Ganache:
1 bag chocolate chips (your preference of chocolate)
1 cup heavy cream
Place saucepan with water on stovetop on medium. Place heat-resistant bowl on top of saucepan. Melt chocolate chips and cream in bowl by stirring until smooth.
This will talk to the sweet tooth of any chocolate lover you know! Trust me.

Fyi, I bought a 10 lb bag of chocolate chips at Costco. I hope all my sins are forgiven.

I cannot even express how much I WANT some of these. Call it a pregnancy craving, if you will, but I’m pretty confident I’d want them either way. Tell Jason he’s more than welcome to swap some ganache brownies (not just the recipe) for one much desired roll recipe. That’s right, I fight dirty!!!
