sourceI hope everyone enjoyed their holiday break, whether you had the entire Christmas break off of work to spend with your kids, or just took advantage of your long weekends.
It’s always bittersweet this time of year for me: the official celebrations are over, life goes back to it’s regular routine, and on top of it all off, Old Man Winter and Mother Nature seem to join forces against the human race making it miserable to be outdoors and on the road!!
So, for the month of January, here on my site, we’re kicking the January blues (where it counts!), sharing ideas on breaking the routine, and continuing with the celebrations, including some fun give aways!

It could be something simple like changing up your hairstyle, or re-organizing the bathroom drawers, or painting your walls yellow. Anything that changes up the monotony of a routine life and puts a smile on your face.
The best idea (according to a panel of judges) will be awarded $50.

I tackle the “Spring Cleaning” starting with putting away the Christmas decorations – then trying to take care of the rest of the indoor heavy duty cleaning that needs done – washing walls, cleaning windowsill’s, organizing closets, rearranging furniture, finding new ways to use old decor or finding new decor and organizing un-needed things to donate to Goodwill or get ready for a garage sale. I like getting it done now, while it’s cold and miserable outside so that when it turns nice out there isn’t much left to do and we can simply start enjoying the nice weather!
We also look for a play/concert/something put on by one of the local civic groups to take the family too and even get in some ice skating!
