Whether blogging about a chic, new look incorporating jeggings, or her family’s weekend stay at the swankiest hotel on the West Coast, Allison has the “know-how” when it comes to fashion, travel, home-based style, and family. Allison is one of my personal favorites when it comes to writing style because of her wit and charm. She allows her readers to know her and her personality! (And, she responds to each and every comment left on her blog!) Between two full-time blogging jobs, social media events, an energy-sucking illness, two growing children, and a horse to take care of, Allison still smiles through it all, and makes it work!
Your name and hometown:

How many kids?
Precocious is 10 and Charming is 6
Besides being a mother, what else consumes your time?:
Being a mother consumes the majority of my time. Aside from that, Petit Elefant and SocialLuxe Lounge are full time jobs.
What is the biggest challenge you’re faced with right now?
I never have enough time or energy to get through the day. I need about 5 more hours {uninterrupted ones at that!} to get everything done. Right now I’m really behind on: housework, yard work, nurturing friendships, spending time in my kids’ classrooms, making dinner. Oh dinner! Don’t even get me started on dinner. We eat a lot of take-out.
With so much demanded of you, how do you “Make it Work”?
Well, I’m winging it, like the rest of the world. I think moms right now have so many pressures, so many responsibilities, it’s impossible to do them all. Really. My biggest challenge is not micromanaging all the details in my life, and just letting some stuff go. It’s IMPOSSIBLE to do it all, and to do it all well. I’m about to hire someone to come in and clean my house once a month. Things like that really help. Focus on what you’re capable of doing, and delegate the rest.
If you had a full day to yourself, free of daily responsibilities, what would you spend it doing? Where?
I’d be on a beach somewhere with my family. Free of cell phones, email, job responsibilities. Or, in a spa somewhere with no cell phone service. Something pampering for sure.
What would be your advice to other mothers trying to “Make It Work”?
Learn to just let some things go. Really, it’s okay. So your laundry isn’t folded the way you want, or even done all the time. Let it go. Do what you can, do what’s important, and let the rest slide It all works out in the end!

I like that the most common comment from these women is to “learn to let things go”. I think we all take on WAY TOO MUCH. My husband keeps telling me that I do. As women, we have a hard time saying no, and to letting things go.

I liked this post a lot! She seems like she’s a very busy person, but she really tries to focus on whats important! I think a lot of us forget to do that!
**I love that traverse you’re driving!! I tell everyone how famous you are
Especially when they have the commercials and talk about the “4 moms” putting it to the test! Yeah, you’re pretty much an icon. Hope all is well! Much Love!
