Want to know my idea of a fun weekend?
Cupcakes.
on the 23rd floor of the Grand America Hotel.
with friends who share my affinity for cupcakes,
cupcake decorating competitions,
with winners who HATE getting their picture taken with the winning product (and the judge).
For something that started off as a joke on Twitter, the 1st annual Cupcake Conference was a success, allowing for 50 participants and a long waiting list of hopefuls. Many sponsors were generous in donating products for the raffle,such as :
* gift certificates for free cupcakes
* T-shirts with the particular cupcakeries’ logos
* a year supply of cupcakes
And the grand prize – the mother of all raffle prizes?
* the cupcake-bedazzled Snuggie!
What I won was the envy of all cupcake fans alike:
A photo session with a cupcake!! (Be watching for a new profile pic soon!)
Thanks to Stephanie, Ryley, Gina, and Becky who actually were the masterminds behind the party and are my cupcake senseis.

OKAY…so they finally opened a cupcake joint in our world. And I was a LITTLE disappointed after seeing all the cupcakes you have shared. I walked in totally expecting what I’ve seen on your blog. AND I WALKED IN HAPPY TO BE THERE!!! I’m going to try again. I can’t give up on these people.

This event was so much fun, wasn’t it?! Of course, every time I read someone else’s post and see their photos I get just a little bit jealous (almost like I wasn’t there) just because I didn’t get a chance to see everything, try everything and meet everyone!
