When it comes to designs, Heather is my go-to girl. She shares many design ideas on her blog The Coterie. She has also survived as our recent family photographer – not just of the girls and I - of my entire (crazy and unruly) family. She is a fabulous person! I asked her to share her ideas for brightening up a bleak January day through the eyes of a designer. Thanks Heather!
“Get a new piece of art and hang it proudly”
Sometimes when the cold months come around I find myself spending A LOT of time in my little, drab house (especially with a baby). It’s always fun to spice things up and get new art in the house. It will liven your soul and refresh your days…I promise. There are so many affordable art pieces out there, especially on Etsy. Here is some of my favorite affordable art:

Sometimes, just moving around the art work you already have in your home can liven things up a bit. But who doesn’t like a new piece of art! Dan, that’s where you step in.

Heather didn’t even mention the cute cute prints that she and her husband make. I have the “Scatter Sunshine” one and it makes me smile every time I see it!
